How long have you been in business?
The Church Federation has been in ministry for 102 years. Our tax exemption was granted in June 1943!
What is your primary product or service?
We serve as the local council of churches, ministry on behalf of Christian churches throughout the Greater Indianapolis area.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
The ecumenical nature of the Church Federation draws many into participation as they discover issues they can tackle better together than on their own.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Within the greater Indianapolis area, there are no city-wide councils like us; within many communities there are small groups of churches working together to tackle issues in their own neighborhood. We become the catalyst to helping those efforts take place as we provide resources and services to meet foreseen and unforeseen human needs.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We are located in the Interchurch Center, our only location.

The Interchurch Center is on the NE corner of Michigan Rd. & 42nd St., just east of the Indianapolis Museum of Art, west of Christian Theological Seminary, and north of Crown Hill Cemetery.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept credit card donations online, as well as cash/checks that help support the work of the Federation.
Which areas do you service?
All of Greater Indianapolis.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Our Board of Directors is representative of many of our member churches; presently, two part-time staff manage daily operations.
What are your hours of operation?
Presently open 9-12 Monday through Friday with additional hours on occasion.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
Those we bring together to work together have and are making a difference among the poor in our community.
What is your favorite quote or Bible verse?
