What is your primary product or service?
We are applicators of decorative, functional and protect coatings. Our expertise is working with various industries to protect their various applications. We work with lot quantities from proto-typing to full production runs. Some industries we work with are chemical, medical, military, food, stampers, off-road vehicles, vibrator feeders, pumps, exhaust fans, and many more. The coating of your part may be the last on your list during design, but the coating is the first thing your customer sees about your product and it is also the first line of protection for your part.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I am second generation with forty years of experience in the coatings field.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Van Westrum Corporation was one of the first organizations to apply DuPont TeflonŽ coating over fifty years ago. We have since learned the proper applications of many types of coatings for functional and protective applications. We apply both powder and liquid coatings such as TeflonŽ, XylanŽ, HalarŽ, epoxy, polyester, urethane, polyethylene, PlasiteŽ, HeresiteŽ, ScotchkoteŽ, nylon and many more. If you have a special coating, we will search for information on that coating and most likely will be able to apply the coating. That is how we educate ourselves and gain more experience.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Currently only one location

We are located at 37th Street and Schofield Avenue which is 3 or 4 blocks from the southeast corner on the Indiana State Fair grounds.
What type of payments do you accept?
Currently we accept cash and checks only. Possibly VISA in the future, depending on the demand.
Which areas do you service?
Mainly the mid-west, but we have customers from all over the US and a few foreign cuontries.
