You can already buy just about anything online; the Internet provides easy access to thousands of retailers across the globe. So why would a customer service company choose e-commerce as our area of focus? Because we believe there is a huge opportunity to provide a better, more customer-oriented e-retail experience—especially in the area of the delivery of goods.
There’s got to be a better way.
What if you could order a treadmill online and have it delivered the same day? What if the delivery people actually worked around your schedule, carefully set up your new treadmill and hauled away the boxes without being asked? WebToDoor is the brainchild of a local delivery guy and a computer geek with a big vision for changing the future of e-commerce.
Several big box stores have ventured into the online market, offering lower prices online than are available in the store. If you can get a pizza delivered to your home in less than an hour, why should you have to wait several days to get your camcorder flown in from across the country—especially when the one you want is sitting on a shelf just down the street? By using local delivery companies and existing warehousing and staging facilities, we believe the basics are already in place for a total transformation of online shopping.
You’ve got to start somewhere.
Keeping with the notion that it’s easier to steer a moving car than a parked one, we’re starting small. By carrying a relatively small range of products and only dealing with a few select suppliers we can ensure all of our customers receive the best possible products and highest level of customer satisfaction.
