Relieving pain. Restoring function.
Thank you for visiting Chiropractic Therapeutics & Rehabilitation. I am a state licensed chiropractor and acupuncturist in Indianapolis.
Having practiced chiropractic medicine since 1992, I have extensive training in rehabilitation, whiplash and musculoskeletal injuries. I earned a doctorate of chiropractic degree from the Logan College of Chiropractic. I also completed a fellowship in acupuncture from the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture, accredited through New York Chiropractic College.
Joint misalignments interfere with the nervous system and can result in lower resistance to disease as well as poor healthcare conditions.
Joints are designed to move within a certain range of motion. If the muscles around the joint are damaged or won't relax, this can cause the joint to compress or move too much. Over time, both of these can cause muscles and joints to scar over and deteriorate.
Muscles that cause the joint to stay within its healthy range of motion are called stabilizers. When these muscles don't work, other muscles try to help protect the joint. This causes some joints to compress and others to move too much. When the tissue breaks down enough, you feel pain.
Pain can result from things we do every day that gradually breaks down tissue. A fall or auto accident will also cause problems.
